This is the hand-carved version at full floor scale. The frame is mahogany with the ornament cut into the timber rather than cast from a mould, finished in white lacquer, and at 2200 x 1200mm that carving runs the height of a wall. Hand-cut detail varies subtly from one repeat to the next, which across a span this long is the difference between a frame that looks made and one that looks manufactured.

How does this differ from your other white ornate bevelled floor mirror?
Construction. This one is built on a mahogany frame with hand-carved detailing. The other, SKU AH3009, uses cast composite ornament over a timber core and is priced lower. Same size, same finish colour, same bevelled glass — the difference is carved against cast, and it shows at close range rather than across a room.

Will it fit through my door?
Not upright. At 2200mm it exceeds a standard 1980mm door frame, and 1200mm of width leaves very little room to turn in an ordinary hallway. Measure hall width, stair turns, landing space and ceiling height before you order, and call us first if access is tight — a mirror that cannot be angled around a corner cannot be got into the room at all.

How do I stop it falling over?
Secure it, without exception. A mahogany-framed mirror standing 2200mm tall has an extremely high centre of gravity and would fall further and hit harder than almost anything else we sell. Strap or bracket it into a wall stud, never into plasterboard. Never stand it on a rug or an uneven floor. Never place it where a door can swing into it. With children in the house it should never be left freestanding.

How do I clean hand-carved detail?
A soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which snags on the carving. Apply glass cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying it, so nothing runs into the recesses where it will mark the lacquer. A white finish shows dust in the carving sooner than a dark one, so expect to do it more often.

Considerably more than our records state. The figure held against this product is a placeholder repeated across mirrors of very different sizes, so we have not published it. Call the showroom and get the real number before delivery day — it determines how many people you need.
