Can I add more chairs?
Yes. The table seats eight comfortably with four down each side, so there is room for two more Derringer chairs beyond the six included here. Allow around 60cm of table edge per person.
What is it made from?
The table top is MDF with a veneer finish and the base is painted ribbed MDF, so it is not solid timber. The chairs have solid timber frames with high density foam and premium vegan leather upholstery.
Is the tabletop ribbed too?
No, the ribbing is on the base only. The top is a smooth flat surface, so nothing catches in grooves while you are eating or wiping down.
Will it fit my dining room?
Allow at least 90cm of clear space around the table so chairs pull out and people can walk behind them. With a 200 x 100cm table that means a room of roughly 3.8 x 2.8m as a minimum.
How do I care for it?
Wipe the table with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it off, avoiding abrasive cleaners and scouring pads. Dust the ribbed base with a soft brush so you reach into the grooves. The chair upholstery is spill resistant and wipes clean.
