The lightest-reflecting piece in the Clarence range. Silver faux linen has a shimmer that shifts as you move past it, and it's set into a silverleaf powder-coated frame, so the metal and the surface work in the same register rather than contrasting. In a dim room it lifts the light; in a bright one it reads almost pearlescent. A drawer beneath the square 510mm top handles the practical side.

Is the linen real fabric?
No — it's a faux linen finish, so it has the woven look and sheen without absorbing spills the way real textile would.

How reflective is it?
It has a soft shimmer rather than a mirror finish — closer to raw silk than to metal. The effect changes noticeably with the light in the room.

Will it mark easily?
It's non-porous and wipes clean, but pale finishes show marks more readily than dark ones. Deal with spills promptly and use coasters.

How does it compare to the shagreen pieces?
Same square format and drawer, but a completely different surface — flat and lustrous instead of pebbled and matte.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
