Seal is a deep grey-brown, and it's the one Clarence finish that sits comfortably between the charcoal and the taupe — dark enough to have presence, warm enough not to read as cold. The bronze powder-coated legs are what make it work: warmer than the black legs used elsewhere in the range, and they pick up the brown running through the shagreen. Square 510mm top with a drawer underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this real shagreen?
No. Shagreen traditionally refers to stingray or shark hide, but this is a resin finish worked to reproduce that fine pebbled texture — no animal products involved.

How do the bronze legs differ from the black?
Bronze is warmer and softer against a dark surface, where black reads sharper and more graphic. If you're pairing with brass or warm metals elsewhere in the room, bronze is the better match.

How does it compare to the Irving and Gaines?
This one is square (510mm) where those two are 600 x 400mm, and it's on bronze legs rather than black. All three have a single drawer.

How do I clean the shagreen finish?
Wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which would flatten the pebbled texture over time.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
