A 150cm black console on a ribbed base. At only 40cm deep it takes almost nothing out of a hallway, which is exactly what a console is for — a surface for keys, a lamp and a bowl in a space too narrow for real furniture. The vertical fluting across the base is what stops a slim black piece reading as a plain slab: it catches light and shadow down its length.

Will it fit my hallway?
At 40cm deep it projects less than most consoles. Measure your hall width and allow at least 900mm of clear passage in front of it.
What is it made from?
The top is MDF with a veneer finish and the base is painted ribbed MDF. It is not solid timber.
Does it have storage?
No drawers or shelves — it is a single-surface console.
Can I use it behind a sofa?
Yes. At 78cm high it sits above the back of most sofas, and the 40cm depth means it does not push the sofa far off the wall.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it off. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which will dull a painted or veneered finish. Dust the ribbed base with a soft brush rather than a cloth so you reach into the grooves.
