An 1800mm black sideboard on a ribbed base. At only 40cm deep it lines a dining room wall or a hallway without narrowing the room, which is what makes a piece this long usable outside a large space. The vertical fluting runs across the base, so a long black form has depth and shadow rather than reading as a flat panel.

What is it made from?
The top is MDF with a veneer finish and the base is painted ribbed MDF. It is not solid timber.
Will it fit my hallway?
At 40cm deep it projects less than most sideboards. Measure your hall width and allow at least 900mm of clear passage in front of it.
How does it compare to the console?
The sideboard is longer and taller — 180cm at 85cm high against the console's 150cm at 78cm. Both are 40cm deep, so they can sit in the same kind of space.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it off. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which will dull a painted or veneered finish. Dust the ribbed base with a soft brush rather than a cloth so you reach into the grooves.
